Example Cover Letter

This is almost a disclaimer: 1) Now that the peons of most Anglo corporations are scratching their monkey heads about where their futures are (not) going, it might be time to (re)think (a)knew. If thinking without emotional influence or monetary influence is a problem in your life, then you might want to review this documentation first with your therapist/drug dealer. 2) Please be advised that use of the “cover letter” element of this blog-post is granted as long as credit is given to worstwriter for, if not writing it, inspiring it. …

Truth Seeking

truth

(Something I’ve been working on and will most likely never finish. As usual.)

Subtitle: Isaac Newton and (My United Mistake’s) Radio Talking Heads

It hurts me to say this but there is no such thing as truth seeking. Trust me, I’m American’t born - I know these things. Of late I feel compelled to promote this conclusion because, the other day, on assignment in St. Augustine, Florida - and right in the middle of doing my stretching exercises, which is part of a regular break from home-office-outsourced-work - I saw a bird fall out of the sky and hit the ground a few stories under my window with a loud jell-o thud. …

Rejection Good

Rejection is a good thing. I wonder if one can realize how good it is. I suppose, wanting to write, and then writing, and then being able to market yourself, is an incompatible undertaking. At the least, they are supple friends who fondle each other during specified religious ceremonies - just like college frats.

Don’t worry about readers or audience. The chain of events leading to your rejection begins with lit agents who probably were publishers who were outsourced before outsourcing was chic. …

What To Write On

notebooks 1

I’ve gone through a lot of writing material in my day. I only wish I would have gone through more. (Perhaps more on that in another run-away-future post.) Henry Miller wrote that he’d written millions of words. And I’m sure he did. But did Miller write as much text as Bach wrote notes? Who in academic circles will ever answer that one? Anywho. At (my) last count, including journals, novels, plays and whatnot, I’ve probably written close to a million words.
